The Town of Midland unveiled the first of 77 newly designed street signs that will be installed within the historic community of Dollartown. The new street signs play homage to the history of the Dollartown community, with the new signage set to be installed at every intersection within Dollartown’s boundaries.

The Ontario government has strengthened Midland’s emergency readiness with a $50,000 investment through the 2024–25 Community Emergency Preparedness Grant (CEPG). This integral funding supported the purchase of new technology and emergency preparedness training, which will enhance local response capabilities, as well as critical signage including a portable digital sign to communicate news, alerts and instructions during emergency situations.
The Towns of Midland and Penetanguishene are thrilled to release a joint Request for Proposals (RFP) to explore innovative microtransit systems that could, if approved, transform and potentially replace, the current conventional Mid-Pen Transit system. Today, a representative from MPP Jill Dunlop’s constituency office, Leslie Stroud, met with Mayor Bill Gordon, members of Town Council and staff at the Little Lake Park Amphitheatre to celebrate the results of a $149,900 Capital grant from the provincial government’s Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF). The grant, which was awarded in 2023, was used to make needed renovations to the amphitheatre.
