There will be a detour to the Penetanguishene Transit Route on Saturday, February 14, from approximately 10am to 1pm, as a result of road closures for the annual Winterama Parade.
Today the Pan African flag was raised at Town Hall to recognize Black History Month. Mayor Bill Gordon has proclaimed February 2026 as “Black History Month” in Midland.

The Towns of Midland and Penetanguishene are nearing completion of the review of the joint Request for Proposals for the provision of a microtransit system for both municipalities.

The street signals at the intersection of Yonge Street and Eighth Street are fully operational, and the Mid-Pen Transit Midland route will no longer detour off of Yonge Street.
