Annual Kids Fishing Derby is this weekend!

Cast your lines off at Midland Town Dock! Attend the annual Kids Fishing Derby, June 1 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

What to expect:

• The free event is open to all youth in the community, up to the age of 16.
• Each participant will receive free bait as well as a hot dog, juice box and a participation prize.
• A few lucky anglers will also win a new bicycle and helmet at the end of the event (must be present to win). 

How to join in the fun:

• Get your fishing rods ready and cast off between 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (No pre-registration).
• Make sure you are geared up for any weather, wear a hat, sunscreen and bring a water bottle. 
• Once your got a bite, reel em' in and snap a pic! Release the fishy friend back to the waters of Midland Harbour.
• Participants and their parents and/or guardians must observe all safety precautions including the use of safety equipment such as wearing life jackets. The Town of Midland does not provide lifejackets.
