Remembrance Day in Midland | November 11, 2025

On Tuesday, November 11, the Remembrance Day Ceremony will take place at the Midland Cenotaph starting at 10:45am, followed by a parade from the North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre to the Midland Legion. See route planning and road closures map.

The Midland Municipal Office, located at 575 Dominion Avenue, will be closed on Tuesday, November 11. Please note online services remain available to: 

  • pay property taxes 
  • pay water and sewer bills 
  • complete application forms
  • request non-emergency service

The Heritage Awards are back and the Town of Midland is looking for nominations. There are two award types to nominate for; Heritage Merit Awards and Heritage Appreciation Awards.

In accordance with the Notice of Complete application and Public Meeting issued on December 16, 2024, Council adopted Official Plan Amendment OPA-04-24 (OPA-06) for 1017 and 1029 Brebeuf Road on October 15, 2025 as By-law 2025-57. In accordance with the Notice of Complete application and Public Meeting issued on December 16, 2024, Council approved Zoning By-law Amendment ZBA-05-24 for 1017 and 1029 Brebeuf Road on October 15, 2025 as By-law 2025-58. View the Notice of Passing for more information. The decision is subject to a 20-day appeal period and following no appeals being received, the Bylaw will come into full force and effect.
