Who do I call if I was bitten or scratched by an animal? |
Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit deals with reports of rabies. If you are bitten or scratched by any animal please contact the Health Unit for more information on the next steps to determine if you have had a rabies exposure. |
What animals are you allowed to have in Midland?
Dogs |
Midland residents cannot own more than two dogs over the age of twelve weeks. Both dogs need to be registered with the Town of Midland, this can be done by purchasing a dog tag. Contact Customer Service. |
Cats |
Midland residents cannot own more than two cats over the age of twelve weeks. |
Farm Animals |
Midland residents cannot have any horse, donkey, mule, cattle, sheep, goat, swine, or poultry living within Midland's boundaries, except upon zoned farm lands. |
Wild Animals |
Midland residents cannot have any mink, fox, reptile, or any fur-bearing or other wild animal that may, by virtue of its origin or nature, be capable of causing bodily harm to any person |
