Staying cool during a heat wave can be tough. The Town of Midland has two areas where people are welcome to visit for relief from the heat and humidity.
Each location has a water fountain, water bottle refill station, public washrooms, and public seating areas.
Where to go
Midland Public Library (320 King Street)
- Monday: 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Tuesday to Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sunday: closed
Recreation Centre (527 Len Self Blvd)
- Monday to Thursday: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Friday to Sunday: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
