Through it all, this community has shown up for one another. Whether it was providing a warm meal to neighbours, spending time together at the Town's warming centres, or sharing your support for the crews working, our residents are the foundation of this community.
Power Restoration and Cleanup
- Some areas in Midland are still experiencing power outages.
- Some traffic signals may not be functioning, and roads may still be closed to complete clean up. Residents are urged to proceed with caution when travelling.
- NT Power crews are continuing their efforts to restore power to all customers as quickly as possible. Stay clear of trees and 10 meters back from downed wires.
- Report outages or downed wires by calling NT Power at 1-888-735-4801 or use the NT Power Outage Reporting Webchat.
Weather Alerts for April 2
- Environment Canada has issued 2 weather alerts affecting the Midland area today.
- Freezing rain is expected today with ice buildup of 4 to 8 mm on some surfaces.
- This is not expected to be as significant as the ice storm over the weekend, but residents should use caution while driving or walking as roads and sidewalks will be slippery.
- Remember to take caution around trees, especially damaged trees from the recent storm which may break due to further ice build-up.
