Planning for the 2026 Budget – What matters most to you?

(July 7, 2025, Midland, ON) The Town of Midland is inviting residents to get involved in the 2026 Budget process. Community feedback is an important step in creating the Town’s budget. Share what matters most to Midland with the 2026 Budget Engagement Survey which is live on Midland’s 2026 Budget webpage.
“The voices of our residents and business owners play a key role in shaping the future of Midland,” said Mayor Bill Gordon. “Town Council and I are especially eager to hear from our community as their input helps us build a budget that reflects shared priorities, supports financial stability, and continues to deliver the services that make Midland a great place to live.”
This year, the Draft 2026 Budget document will be released to the public in November. The 2026 Budget Public Meeting is scheduled for November 26, 2025, where residents can weigh in on the draft budget. Questions about the Draft 2026 Budget can also be received from November 17 to November 30, 2025, by e-mail to budget@midland.ca.
The Town’s 2026 Budget Engagement Survey is open until August 24, 2025. Insights gathered through the 2026 Budget Engagement Survey will be presented to Council prior to budget deliberation meetings. Results of the survey will also be included in the Draft 2026 Budget document which will be available to the public on the Town’s website.
Presentations by Town-supported Agencies, Boards and Commissions will take place at the end of November 2025. With Council budget deliberation meetings being completed in December 2025, leading to adoption of the 2026 Operating and Capital Budgets.
