Kids Fishing Derby | Town of Midland

The Kids Fishing Derby is a free, family-friendly event held on the first Saturday each June at Midland Town Harbour. Open to local children aged 16 and under, it’s all about fun, community, and introducing kids to fishing. This event is proudly supported by local sponsors and partners.

2026 Kids Fishing Derby

We hope all our young local anglers have a “reel” good time at our annual Kids Fishing Derby on June 6, 2026 held at the Midland Town Harbour.

Time: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Free bait, a hot dog, a juice box and a prize for all children registered
All registered participants are entered into a draw to win the donated bikes with a helmet (must be present during draw to win)
Free face painting
Photo ops with cartoon mascots
Interact with local organizations
