The Midland Fire Department was excited to join with staff from Firehouse Subs in Midland to celebrate a special day! In November 2023, Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada awarded Midland Fire Department with a $45K grant to ensure first responders have the necessary equipment to keep community members and themselves safe.

Temporary Road Closure - Lindsay St

Where: Section of Lindsay Street will be closed, from Elizabeth St. to Hugel Ave.
When: Friday, January 19, 2024 from 9:00am - 4:30pm.
Detour Suggestion: Avoid the closure by utilizing parallel roads (George St and William St).
Why: Watermain break on Lindsay Street. Water pressure in the area may be reduced during the repair.

(January 11, Midland ON) The Town of Midland appointed sitting Council member Beth Prost as Deputy Mayor after declaring the seat vacant at a Special Meeting of Council heldJanuary 10, 2024. The seat was declared vacant as required under the Municipal Act after the death of Deputy Mayor Jack Contin in November 2023. Deputy Mayor-elect Prost will be sworn in at a future Council meeting.
