Starting on September 2, 2025, Midland's Community Safety Speed Cameras will be live.
There are two community safety speed cameras in Midland running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
-
William Street - Community Safety Zone in front of Sacred Heart Catholic School
-
Yonge Street - Community Safety Zone in front of Mundy's Bay Public School
Midland's community safety speed camera program aligns with provincial legislation and supports municipal efforts to reduce speed-related collisions and improve overall road safety.
Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE)
ASE uses a camera and speed sensor to detect the speed of travelling vehicles. When a safety speed camera detects a speeding vehicle, an image is captured and reviewed by Provincial Offences Officer.
Tickets and Fines
In the result of speeding in the program areas, a Penalty Order will be mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle and will include a digital image of the vehicle and license plate.
Beware of text scams: We only issue Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) Penalty Orders by mail. Do not click any links or share personal information if you receive a text message about payment - it is a scam.
