Yonge Street Reconstruction Project

This project was deemed complete on June 18; however, due to some extended finishing works, a shift in traffic (3 lanes will be shifted to 2 lanes) is scheduled on Yonge Street from 7am on Tuesday, July 21, to 7pm on Wednesday, July 22. Expect delays and slower traffic through the area between Sixth Street and Fourth Street.
Yonge Street underwent reconstruction and resurfacing from Second Street to Norene Street, King Street to Second Street and Norene Street to County Road 93. The project started in May 2025 and was deemed complete in Spring 2026.
This project includes:
- New sanitary sewer replacement and associated services.
- New watermain replacement and associated services.
- New barrier curb and gutter, restoration of all disturbed areas including driveways, topsoil, sod and surface elements.
- New asphalt from King Street to County Road 93.
- New cycling lanes.
