Toys for Tickets Pilot Program

November 1 to December 4, 2026

Issued a parking ticket ahead of this holiday season? Turn it into something good! Toys for Tickets is a pilot project that lets you resolve an eligible parking ticket by donating new, unwrapped toys and/or non-perishable food items of equal or greater value than your fine. Town Council approved the project in September 2026 for the 2026 holiday season.

  • Town of Midland parking tickets issued between November 1 and December 4, 2026 are eligible
  • Accessible parking tickets are not eligible

Accepted donations include:

  • New, unwrapped toys
  • New, non-perishable food items that have not expired

Your donation must be of equal or greater value than your fine on the day you bring it in, with proof of purchase. Gift cards are not accepted.

Since the Town provides an early payment option, if you attend the municipal office within the first 7 days of the ticket being issued, you can donate items at the early payment amount. If you attend after the 7-day mark, the set fine amount listed on the ticket applies.

Bring the following to the Municipal Office at Town Hall, 575 Dominion Avenue:

  1. Your parking ticket
  2. Your donation item(s)
  3. Your purchase receipt, showing the item(s) are worth the minimum required amount

Staff will collect the donation and provide a receipt for your resolved ticket. Donations must be made in person. Alternatively, regular ticket payment options are still available during this pilot.

When the project ends, all donations will be delivered to the Salvation Army Midland.

Request an Early Resolution

If you've received a parking ticket and would like to speak with the Manager of Municipal Law Enforcement or their designate, please submit a request form to initiate the discussion.

Early Resolution requests must be submitted within 7 days of the Certificate date.
