Indigenous Art and Culture Awareness Week
Indigenous Art and Culture Awareness Week is an initiative featuring various organizations within the Heart of Georgian Bay who wish to highlight the work of Indigenous creatives through various mediums, such as dance, food, literature, music, visual arts, and crafts.
Since its inception, the goal of Indigenous Art and Culture Awareness Week has been to promote and preserve Indigenous traditions, stories, and practices. This community-driven project creates authentic experiences, many of which are free, for residents and visitors to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Indigenous art and culture in North Simcoe.

Indigenous Art and Culture Awareness Week 2025
The fourth Indigenous Art and Culture Awareness Week will take place from September 22 to 27, 2025. We invite you to join us in celebrating and honouring one of the many diverse cultures that shape the Heart of Georgian Bay.
