Finishing works this spring include concrete sidewalk replacements, surface course asphalt, pavement markings, and boulevard restoration. Notices were hand-delivered to nearby properties in April.
Yonge Street from Norene to Fourth will be closed from 6am to 6pm on Monday, May 11, as crews complete the final course of asphalt. Detours will be in place, with signage posted, and access to businesses will be maintained.
Yonge Street underwent reconstruction and resurfacing from Second Street to Norene Street, King Street to Second Street and Norene Street to County Road 93. The project started in May 2025 and is anticipated to be complete Spring 2026.
This project includes:
- New sanitary sewer replacement and associated services.
- New watermain replacement and associated services.
- New barrier curb and gutter, restoration of all disturbed areas including driveways, topsoil, sod and surface elements.
- New asphalt from King Street to County Road 93.
- New cycling lanes.
