Sixth Street Parking Survey

We want to hear from you! Review the options found on our Sixth Street Parking Review project page and complete our short survey. 

Why are we reviewing Sixth Street Parking?

• Town Council received a deputation regarding parking concerns on Sixth Street in the area of Mundy’s Bay Public School and directed staff to review options.

What happens next?

• Once the Survey is complete, staff will do analysis and report back to Council in December with options for consideration.

Temporary Lane Closure - King St

Where: Lane closures along King St, between Bayshore Dr and Yonge St (downtown core). 

When: October 25, 2023 8:00am until October 27, 2023 4:00pm. 

Detour: Through traffic will be kept at all times. Temporary lane closures will be taking place along King St. To avoid delays, use streets parallel to King St. 

Why: Contracted work on crosswalks. 

Other Information: Lane closures will be in various locations on King St. Motorists are to take precaution of workers on site and to expect minor delays.

Temporary Lane Closure - William St

Where: Lane closure on William Street, between Scott Street and Elizabeth Street. 

When: October 16, 2023 8:00am until October 20, 2023 4:00pm. 

Why: Two pedestrian crossovers are being installed in two areas along William Street. To read more about the importance of pedestrian safety and using crossovers click here. 

Other Information: There will be full access through the intersections of William St and Scott St as well as William St and Elizabeth St during construction for both ways of traffic...
