Project Features
The 2026 program focuses on removing and replacing deteriorated concrete, improving accessibility, and addressing trip hazards across several key locations. A contractor has been retained to complete sidewalk and boulevard reconstruction in the identified areas. Work will generally include:
- Removal and replacement of existing sidewalk
- Removal of outdated infrastructure (e.g., parking meter bases where applicable)
- Restoration or replacement of boulevard areas
Timing & What to Expect
Construction is scheduled for summer 2026, with more detailed scheduling shared in advance of work beginning at each location. Work at each site is expected to take approximately 3–4 weeks, weather permitting. Notices are provided to impacted residents with specific timing and project updates as construction approaches.
During construction, residents may experience:
- Temporary disruptions to driveway and property access during removals, forming, and concrete curing
- Short-term impacts to boulevard areas
- The need to use alternate parking, such as nearby side streets or municipal parking lots, during certain phases of construction
The contractor will make every effort to minimize impacts to residents and businesses, maintain safe access wherever possible, restore driveways, parking areas, and boulevards within the limits of construction.
