The Ontario government has strengthened Midland’s emergency readiness with a $50,000 investment through the 2024–25 Community Emergency Preparedness Grant (CEPG). This integral funding supported the purchase of new technology and emergency preparedness training, which will enhance local response capabilities, as well as critical signage including a portable digital sign to communicate news, alerts and instructions during emergency situations.
