Temporary Lane Closure - Angela Schmidt Foster Road

Where: Lane closure on Angela Schmidt Foster Road, from Marshall Road to Highway 93

When: June 2, 2025 to June 13, 2025

Why: Maintenance work for the Angela Schmidt Foster Road Resurfacing Project. 

Other Information: 

• Access to properties will be maintained.
• Expect delays, use alternate routes.
• Asphalt work to be completed August 2025.

(May 30, 2025, Midland ON) The sweetest day of the year is almost here! More than 300,000 butter tarts will be up for grabs in Midland at Ontario’s Best Butter Tart Festival presented by Chapman’s on June 14.

The festival begins at 9 a.m. with the ceremonial Piping of the Tart by the Midland Pipes and Drums and opening remarks from Mayor Bill Gordon.

Cast a line at Midland’s Kids Fishing Derby on June 7

Calling all young, local anglers! The Kids Fishing Derby is on June 7, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Midland Town Dock. Reel in the fun with this special chance to cast off at the Midland Town Dock!

What to expect:

• The free event is open to all youth in the community, up to the age of 16.
• Attendees will also enjoy a free hot dog lunch with a juice box.
• Meet and greet with some beloved characters, including Sparky the Fire Dog, and visit the free face-painting station to choose a fun design.
