The Town of Midland raised the flag for National AccessAbility Week.

Cast a line at Midland’s Kids Fishing Derby on June 7

Calling all young, local anglers! The Kids Fishing Derby is on June 7, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Midland Town Dock. Reel in the fun with this special chance to cast off at the Midland Town Dock!
What to expect:
- The free event is open to all youth in the community, up to the age of 16.
- Attendees will also enjoy a free hot dog lunch with a juice box.
- Meet and greet with some beloved characters, including Sparky the Fire Dog, and visit the free face-painting station to choose a fun design.

When: Starting now to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2025
Why: Emergency Lateral Sewer repair
Other Information:
- Sidewalk on the North side of the closure is closed.
- Businesses access is not affected.
- Properties with interruption to water service have been contacted.
Temporary Lane Closure - Yonge St

Where: Lane reduction to two lanes on Yonge Street, between County Road 93 and Norene Street.
When: Lane reductions start Wednesday, May 28, 2025 until August 2025
Why: Road resurfacing, part of the Yonge Street Reconstruction project.
Other Information:
- There may be traffic delays in the area.
- Access to businesses along Yonge Street will be available during the resurfacing.
