Extreme Heat - Cooling Centres in Midland

Staying cool during a heat wave can be tough. The Town of Midland has two areas where people are welcome to visit for relief from the heat and humidity.
Each location has a water fountain, water bottle refill station, public washrooms, and public seating areas.
Where to goMidland Public Library (320 King Street)
- Monday: 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Tuesday to Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Town staff are onsite to repair watermain breaks on Fourth Street and Yonge Street.
Repair and temporary water shut off area:
- Fourth St. between Hugel Ave. and Yonge St.
- Yonge St. between Third St. and Fifth St.
Ongoing road closure:
- Yonge St. is closed for construction between Third St. to Fifth St.
- Other properties in the area may experience no water or low water pressure.
