Tall Ships® Midland

Get ready for a weekend packed with memorable experiences, live performances, and non-stop family fun.

Don't miss out on this highly anticipated event – it only happens every three years! Tall Ships® Midland takes place at the Town of Midland Harbour on the shores of beautiful Georgian Bay August 15 to 17, 2025.

Tickets for sail outs are sold out, but deck tours tickets are still available! Get yours before they're gone. 

The weekend includes opportunities to tour four elegant tall ships as well as board a tall ship for a scenic evening sail out. Festival visitors will also enjoy live music and entertainment, a vendor area, and more – all within a few steps from our delightful downtown. 

Happening alongside Tall Ships® Midland is the Northern Heat Rib Series and Beer Fest, as well as a Midway Carnival with fun amusement rides!

Purchase Tickets

Advance: Tickets can be purchased in advance through the TicketPro website.

Day of Event: Deck tour tickets can also be purchased at the Midland Harbour on Saturday August 16 and Sunday August 17 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Please note: Tickets are non-transferable.

Footwear

Proper footwear must be worn by all visitors boarding the vessels (rubber sole shoes, sneakers, or boat shoes).

Leather sole shoes and flip flops are slippery and dangerous on deck. Absolutely no spike heels are permitted aboard the ship

Shuttle Schedule – Saturday & Sunday:
9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Parking Lot Location:

ZF Parking Lot – 16643 Highway 12, Midland

Drop Off Location:

David Onley Park - 475 Bayshore Drive, Midland

Shuttles will run approximately every 15 minutes.

  • First shuttle departs from ZF Parking Lot at 9:30 a.m.

  • Last shuttle departs from David Onley Park at 5:30 p.m.

Please note: There is no overnight parking at the shuttle location.

Sail Out
  • Proper footwear must be worn by all visitors boarding the vessel (rubber sole shoes, sneakers, or boat shoes). Leather sole shoes and flip flops are slippery and dangerous on deck. Absolutely no spike heels are permitted aboard the ship. 

  • Limited seating on deck.  
  • Personal chairs are not allowed as the crew needs to move around freely to raise and lower sails.
  • Unless already purchased, sail out passes are sold out.
  • The sail out is approximately 1.5 hours.

There are free municipal parking lots downtown, however, they will fill up quickly. Visit the Parking webpage for locations.

Pets

Due to the number of festival visitors and crowds, we strongly recommend leaving your pet at home. Pets will not be permitted within the fenced/secured area of the festival. Service animals are permitted. 

Accessibility

Due to their historic nature, most ships are not wheelchair accessible. Walkers and canes may be accommodated, but please check with ship's crew before boarding.

The ships are majestic to see, even from the dock. Other aspects of the festival are barrier-free such as the Parade of Sail (Friday only), entertainment, buskers, and vendors.

Security Measures 

Tall Ships® Midland has enhanced security procedures:

  • Wristbands are required for deck tour entry.

  • Tickets are required for sail outs.
  • All bags and personal belongings will be searched.

  • Large backpacks, drones, outside food, gum, and beverages are prohibited.

  • No running, jumping, or bouncing on gangways or decks of ships.

Rain

 Umbrellas are not permitted aboard ships; bring a rain jacket if needed.
