Yonge Street Reconstruction
Yonge Street is undergoing reconstruction between Second Street to Norene Street, Yonge Street from King Street to Second Street and from Norene Street to County Road 93 will be resurfaced with new asphalt. The project started in May 2025 and is anticipated to be complete Spring 2026.
This project includes:
- New sanitary sewer replacement and associated services.
- New watermain replacement and associated services.
- New barrier curb and gutter, restoration of all disturbed areas including driveways, topsoil, sod and surface elements.
- New Asphalt from King Street to County Road 93.
This project includes an interruption to transit service with a detour on Yonge Street.
Additional closures and interruptions may take place throughout the project area, please follow poster detour signage.
Yonge Street Reconstruction Phases
Update Posted November 20, 2025
Yonge Street is expected fully reopen to traffic by mid-December. Paving is expected to be completed by end of November; sidewalk, driveways, and electrical surface works will follow. Subscribe to news & notices to stay tuned!
